Oh man, that socks buddy! I hear they have quite a grip too...probably need a socket wrench to get your foot sleeves back from em. One thing is for sure, they sure keep you on your toes. Keep fighting though! I know you're a winner because you don't know the meaning of defeet! XD

Fun fact: they (sock / underpants gnomes) can't open zippers...so if you sip up your socks in a delicates garment bag, they won't get stolen.
(Even though I know this, I'm lazy and don't use the bag.) 😫

AHA! Alright, then how about this....Just stuff your next days rolled up socks in your fly when you go to bed and zip em up, then when you get up your socks will still be safe, and if the gnomes try to steal your socks or underwear the extra pressure created will make it harder for them to be removed thus you'll be awakened when it's attempted.

As an added bonus, your socks will be warmed by your junk, so you can always have warm socks in the morning AND if there's a burgler you won't have to worry about getting punched in the balls, AND the fact that you have a trouser bulge will also slow down his reactions....because...if the battle is turning you on, ....he probably had better think twice about messing with you......plus who want's to fight a dude with an obvious log cabin under construction in his pants? XD.....OR if there's a fire or some other sudden call to exit your room, you'll just look really well endowed to any passers by stopping to help. It's a win/win/win! XD

The premise looks interesting but I think it might be too difficult to relate. I didn't find that rakugo funny at all. I think I will stick to it for a while, though, because this is quite intriguing.

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo is a really good rakugo anime. That one was a lot more mature than this though. But I didn't find this episode to be all that interesting but I'll also stick with it for the time being.

I've been planning on shouwa genroku.. recently I started this manga called akane banashi which made me little interested in rakugo.. I think I'll also stick with this!!

a big part of Rakugo relies on understanding Japanese language, most
jokes can't be translated properly. And that's why it feels dull.

Tho probs to the people doing the subtitles for trying their best at making the puns work in English too.

I think people now are just used to quicker jokes. That dirty kimono joke was pretty clever, but it took way too long to tell (70 seconds for one joke). Tell that same joke in 30-40 seconds and I think it will work better for modern audiences.

Yeah. Rakugo animes are quite difficult because they rely on world play so the jokes don't translate well. I laughed about 3 times during the rokugo though, somehow. For example I understood the joke about short of the "guys" sounding like "ugly". So accurate. :D
And this anime in general spoke interesting despite the rakugo parts.

Ok, this is very cute. I think I’m going to like this series. Mameda in tanuki form is adorable! Poor girl can’t catch a break lol. I was surprised the “no face” thing didn’t work, that would have freaked me out lol.

Lol Mameda thinking she could stretch her nuts to fly. Good thing Bunko came by to save her on her floating boat. What is she and what the heck is rakugo? Anyways, that last segment at the end was nice where Manmeda broke down that whole bit Bunko did.

All in all, this was a pretty good first episode. Definitely very cute. I’ll stick with it for now and see how it pans out

Go watch this --> Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu 25 episodes split between two seasons. Best anime out there focused around rakugo.

Huh, well it's not what I was expecting....but then again I wasn't really sure what to expect since I only skimmed the synopsis, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's cute, and it has potential IMO, so I'll give it a few episodes at least and see where they take this.

I could do without the explanation of the jokes after the ED, as I felt they were easy enough to catch the first time, but having said that, if I stick with it long enough, there will probably be an episode where I will actually appreciate them. XD

As an odd end bit, I kind of liked the "crowd" at the end, normally you'd focus on the main cast, but in this case, I have to say the good natured humor the background crew displayed was refreshing. Here's hoping they stay that way!

Personally, when I saw her, I was under the impression she was angry because she had spotted the Tanuki's human form and that's why the mob showed up later. If I recall, she was with it.
